Kami Turns Two

Isn't she just a doll?! What can I say, she is the cutest! I LOVE watching Kami. I love this age, where they are learning so much and copying everything they see people do. It's so fun. Kami is a smart little girl, but isn't talking much. I wish I knew what she was thinking and trying to tell me. Oh, she's so cute and I love her to pieces!!

Part of her Doctor's kit. Love the glasses!

I love that Grandma buys fun toys for my kids that I don't!

Karly and Derek had fun 'helping' Kami learn how to play!

Derek Turns Four

Yes, I realize I'm a month late, but here we go. Derek turned FOUR!! Wow! I can't keep my kids gets from growing up, but it is a lot of fun to watch them grow and learn new things. I don't have many pictures because we did his ice cream cake at G-ma Wardle's house with lots of aunts and uncles. So, I just have a few opening presents with Kami feeling like she's in the jungle in the background!! Derek is just a good kid. He is pretty darn special. He's full of love and is a great brother. He usually follows Karly in whatever she does,(hence, the ice cream cookie cake, just like Karly's) He has tried lately to be the decider and leader more, this has resulted in more arguments, but so is life with siblings. He is so fun to watch with Teague. He loves him sometimes too much, but Teague is a pretty good sport. I sure do love you Derek!

Christmas Joys

So, I don't even know where to start with Christmas. It's been a while, and I think I've recovered now. It was GREAT. All my family was here except my brother in Minnesota. So there was lots of playing, talking, laughing, and eating. I feel very blessed this year by other people's generosity. We were the recipients of some Wonderful gifts. I didn't have much Christmas shopping to do because I'd gotten things from wonderful people in my ward that took care of most of it. It was just a really neat experience knowing people were thinking of us and caring enough to share their Christmas Spirit with us. Most memorable. It's like the great stories you hear people share at Christmastime, and it really happened to us. I really hope someday I can have the means to give what I was given this year and have people feel how I felt.

I'm loving the Bumbo, probably more than Teague is!

Derek got a really awesome gun from Santa, but unfortunately he can't pull it back to cock it. So I returned it, and have been waiting forever for Wal-mart to restock the gun I do want. Grrr Wal-mart!!

So much fun! Christmas was Great!

Christmas Eve
The grandkids did the nativity for us. Derek was much happier during this performance than the wards. I guess he likes being Joseph better than a star! Karly was a perfect Mary. Kami and beautiful star, and Marisa a great donkey!

I have to put in a picture of Teague in his Christmas Party Pants!!

Christmas Program

Well, when you have a baby boy before Christmas, it's a really good bet you'll be asked to be Mary and Joseph for the church program. I was more happy about it than Ty,
but he's a good sport and went along with it.

Some of the donkeys were a little wild, but Karly stayed quiet and sweet.
Derek was the 'Star' of the program because he was being such a pill. He was pouting the whole time and not happy to be a star. He wanted to be a donkey like Karly. He had the biggest pouting lip the entire program.

This is the first year my kids have actually sat on Santa's lap by their own free will. Karly was still a little nervous, but did whisper in his ear that she wanted Polly Pockets. Luckily she had a cousin and an aunt get her some for her birthday, so Santa didn't have to. Thank you Jacobie and Rachel!!

Derek was pretty excited to see Santa. I don't think he understood he could ask Santa for anything he wanted, he asked for what we had put on his list of things he needed.
Derek, " I asked Santa for church shoes, but he didn't give them to me.
He just gave me a candy cane."
I love little kids!!

Kami just could not figure out why her dad would put her on the lap of such a strange man. She was glad to get off.

These are just a couple pictures we took at the dinner after Thomas and Ali's wedding.

Karly's Birthday

I can't believe my little girl is five! Wow!
What a wonderful girl Karly is. She really is a special girl. She keeps us all in line and is a Great sister to all her younger siblings.

Her comment on her birthday: "Mom, I'm still little."

A Little Behind

I'm a bit slow with my blogging. Here are Teague's three month pictures. Have to get these up before he's four months! (Sunday) What a cutie.

So, to many people, painting a bedroom is not a big deal at all, but to me, it was a very big deal. I've never painted a room by myself. It took months of wanting to do it, months of talking about doing it, weeks of planning to do it, and a full week of actually doing it. One of those things I should have done before Teague was born. I worked on it here twenty minutes and there an hour when he would sleep. So, it's quite the accomplishment for me but I love how it turned out.

Teague is getting super cute and growing up.

My kids have REALLY been into coloring lately. They ask me to make copies for them to color all the time. But it keeps them happy and entertained, so I can't complain. Yes, Kami is a cheeser!

Halloween

What do you get when you combine.... Goldilocks,
Papa Bear,
Mama Bear,
and Baby Bear?

The cutest Goldilocks and the Three Bears ever!

It was so cute to see them waddle around. Derek said he couldn't put his shoes on because his belly was too big. Reminds me of being pregnant.

There's a lot I really don't like about Halloween, I hate scary movies, scary stories, ugly or scary or nasty costumes. I'm not into witches and goblins and all that. But I do Love dressing my kiddies up all cute and especially with a theme. I've been planning on Goldilocks and the three bears ever since I knew I was pregnant with Teague. Ty laughs at me, but it something that brings me joy. I love it.

Last year Karly and Derek were Tinkerbell and Peter Pan.
Two years ago, they were Raggety Ann and Andy. This is one of my very Favorites! This is what I love about Halloween. Just look at them!
