I can't believe I have a six-year old. Wow! It fits though. She was ready to be six. Karly is such a sweet girl and the perfect oldest child you could ask for. We had a goal to finish "Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons" Which we did two days before her birthday. So she is now a reader. She is one smart little bug.
The day before her birthday, we had a ward breakfast party for Christmas that we all got to dress up for which was fun. The rest of the day was pretty much devoted to making her Barbie cake. My first time using fondant also, which I made and didn't buy. There were some stressful times, but we were very very happy and excited with how it all turned out. On her actual birthday, we went to church in Heyburn so Ty could sing with his dad and brothers. Then had dinner and cake and ice cream at Grandma and Grandpa Peterson's. It was a super fun day where Karly got to be with her cousins all day.
I realized having a six year old and how much this barbie cake was a big deal, she will probably remember this forever. It made me wonder if I have been being a nice enough and good enough mom. I want her to remember me in good ways not bad so I had better try harder to always be good.
Happy Birthday Karly! We Love YOU!
