Happy Halloween

Oh, I do love a good Halloween theme! This year we all got involved. Even Ty, who had the most embarrassing costume out of all of us. He doesn't even like Halloween, so he gets major brownie points for going along with it and being happy doing it. What a good guy.
My kids and I decided on Wizard of Oz this year. I don't think they had ever seen the movie before, so they watched it at Gma's and decided who would be who. Kami did not want to be a boy, so she chose the good witch. I was going to have Brock be the Tin man, but I just couldn't resist dressing him up as a monkey. It just seemed to fit so well. And thanks to the amazing Bonnie Z. it all came together perfectly. She is awesome, and made it so I spent Zero dollars, which is a really good thing, seeing as Ty doesn't care for the Holiday and would not be cool with me spending lots of money for it. We had a super fun time. Trunk-or-Treat at our church and Gma Peterson's. Tons of candy! Ty and I have persuaded the kids to save the candy bars for ice cream blizzards, since we bought an ice cream maker and now can have homemade ice cream/blizzards anytime we want! Hope you all had a fun day!! Happy Halloween!!

The Good Witch
Dorothy with Toto
Quite convenient we bought a Yorkie a month ago!

The Cowardly Lion who turned courageous
The Scarecrow
We had to bribe him with candy to wear the hat. He wasn't a fan.
The Flying Monkey
Everyone hates the monkeys on the movie, but this little guy is adorable!
Wicked Witch
I wasn't thrilled about being the ugly witch, but all's good.

Time for an Update!

So, I am still alive and doing quite well actually. I just haven't blogged in forever. Much has happened since my "Springtime Fun" Blog, and after today's crummy weather, I wish Spring weather would come back. I don't want to go back and relive life since Spring, I just want the weather. Life is good now and I'm happy about that. Now, on to this post. I have been desperately needing to update all my kid's pictures on my wall. (Brock caught up to the age Teague was in his picture!) Yes, I know I am extremely slow! Well, I decided to go ahead and try to get some good pictures on my own. I do not claim to be a photographer, but I did get some pictures that are good enough for my wall. Yes, I should comment individually about each of my kids and their uniqueness, but instead I am going to give a great big I LOVE ALL MY KIDS LIKE CRAZY AND AM VERY THANKFUL FOR EACH OF THEM.

Yes, I do realize I have another child! But he wasn't much into getting his picture taken, so I decided to wait. And 3+ months later, I still need to get a good picture of him. I told you I'm slow!

Springtime

These pictures are back from the beginning of May when Ty's youngest sister, Traci got married. I'm just a little slow putting them on here. But since I'm awake right now with Brock while the rest of my family sleeps, I thought I'd blog.

Sisters! Really cute sisters!
I LOVE this picture of Teague.
He was having so much fun hugging the swing!
Ok, I LOVE this picture too. Priceless!

Karly Mae.
I am SO lucky to have this little girl be my oldest!
She is something very special!

Traci Doll! I seriously love her like a sister!

I know I'm partial, but my little family is just so darn CUTE!!

Two Months Old

Yes, time keeps going and Brock keeps growing. I love this little guy! He is definitely getting cuter and cuter. He had baby acne really bad, which is now going away, so his cheeks are way kissable now. There were a couple weeks there when he wasn't focusing really well, that his eyes were funny. I watched 'Shakiest Gun In The West' and saw Don Knotts whenever I looked at my baby!! He can focus on things now so his eyes don't look so poppy anymore and I do really love that he has big eyes.
People would ask me if he is a good baby. How do you answer that? Do they really want to know? Does he cry a lot? Quite a bit. More than normal? Probably not much, but what is normal? He would get cranky at night and stay up late, but hey, he's a baby. I felt like I ran out of milk for him by the end of the day which didn't help things. I just don't have the gene for lots of fatty milk, mine is skim and scarce, (not a good combo for Brock!) So I started giving him formula so he would be satisfied and sleep longer, and it worked. Now, I'm giving him more and more formula and less and less nursing and he seems much more content. I guess baby's like to have a full belly! Who knew?! ;) Now if we can get the pooping thing regulated, he'll be happy all the time!
Anyway, on to the 2 month photo shoot.
(Taken by me, so don't judge too harshly)

Oh, he is such a sweet boy! I love these!

If this doesn't give you the biggest smile,
then you are really grumpy!

Love, Love, Love this boy!

One Month Old

Well, time just continues to fly by and we continue to love this little guy. It seems like he's been with us always, and yet like we just brought him home. He's a cutie and I love kissing his chubby cheeks! He was so good for our little photo shoot. I'm an amateur, but hoping one is good enough to put up on my wall. I'd love to hear which is your favorite.
One Month Stats: 9lbs 5oz 21 in.

Introducing....

Brock James Peterson
March 21, 2011
8 lbs 3 oz 20 in.

Well, I'm slow at posting, but he's here! A perfect beautiful baby boy. He's a chunk compared to my other babies. 8lbs is big for me. He has a round face and chubby cheeks which is something I don't see with my babies and really took some getting used to, but I love em. I have really really been having fun and enjoying this baby. I won't go into the labor and delivery, I'll just say this, epidurals are I are now friends. I've been trying different things with each of my babies, and I've found what I like best. It made things much easier for me and Ty. We are now fans and will have an epidural from now on!

A cool surprise we got was receiving a giant basket full of baby stuff for having the first baby of spring. Farm Bureau brought a huge basket for us because Brock was the first baby born this spring in our area. Never heard of that one before, forget trying for the New Year's Baby! Even the nurses were surprised and said it was better than the New Year's baby gets! I didn't take a picture, but there was seriously a couple hundred dollars worth of stuff. Way fun!

My mom kept my other four kids at her house for a week, which saved me. Life isn't too hard if you just have a baby to care for. I love that we live close enough that they could come visit for a while, but then go back to Grandma's so I could sleep when necessary. That made things a lot easier and so I could just enjoy Brock. After a week I told Ty I was ready to take on keeping the kids, cleaning and food wasn't going to happen, but I wanted my kids back home. I've gradually added more and more, my house still isn't real clean and dinner hasn't been fabulous, but we are doing well and happy.

Here he is soon after being born.
The next day, after being cleaned up a bit.
As we are ready to come home from the hospital.
I have five kids!! They were all so excited to see their little brother!

Four days later, what a cutie! I like his spiky hair!
Teague loves his brother, sometimes just too much. I have to keep an eye on this one!!

Cute Boys!!
Eleven Days Old.

We are very happy to have Brock out of the belly and a part of our family. He is perfect. We are all loving him. Everything is going good and I am feeling great, which is good since I do have five kids to take care of now.
