Simple Joys of Motherhood

Kami made my day this morning.  After eating her oatmeal, she wanted her bowl.  She walked over to the sink and wanted to put her dish in the sink.  Karly helped pick her up so she could throw it in.  What Joy a simple little thing like that brings to a mother!  There was much praising and smiling afterward.

A Classic!

I have a picture like this of all of my kids.  The classic, I'll feed myself yogurt and smear it all over my face picture. At least she had a bib on!  It starts out just around the mouth and gradually gets to the eyebrows, eyelashes, ears, and hair.  Then it's time for a bath.  Why do I let my kids get away with this?  For the pictures!! And the Laughs!!

Everyone Home

After Christmas, all of you siblings were here with their families.  We had tons of fun playing games, talking, laughing and just enjoying being together.  We enjoyed watching my sister get married to a great guy.  I have such an awesome family.  We attempted to take family pictures, but my children did not cooperate very well, especially Kami!  But we did end up with a couple decent pics.

This is a mild version of how Kami felt about taking pictures!

These are my eight brothers and sisters.  I am one lucky lady!
My brother from Minnisota was home.  It was fun to have our kids get to know one another.  They live too far away and we don't get to see them as much as we wish we could.

Grandkids eating pizza on the kitchen floor.  What a cute bunch of kiddies!
Here they are watching a movie with uncle Bret.

Derek's Birthday

If you think Derek's cake looks similar to a wedding cake, you're right!  My sister got married on Derek's Birthday and so they shared the wedding/birthday cake.  Derek was very excited when he saw how Big his birthday cake was!  Happy Birthday Derek! We love you!

Derek finally agreed to being three by the end of the day.  Earlier, he insisted that he was five.

Christmas!

Christmas was great!  The kids loved it.  Ty and I woke up to Karly and Derek talking about Lightning McQueen.  They didn't bother to wake us up before seeing what Santa brought and riding it around the house.  So much for seeing their faces when they first saw it!  It was the highlight, however, and they love it!

Kami slept in!  She missed the other kids opening presents.  She didn't wake up until after nine!  Karly and Derek were very good and 'helping' her open her presents!

I made pillows like this one for each of the kids.  These and the bike were my most exciting presents for them.
This is my Christmas present from Ty.  I was wondering why he was working so late on Christmas Eve, and that is when I started to wonder if maybe he was working on a Christmas present.  Before then, I had no idea.  He's already made a little table and bench set for the kids, which I thought was my Christmas present.  I got a double bonus this year!  I have a wonderful, talented husband.

Happy Birthday Karly!

Karly turned four December 19.  It was a busy day.  We had a birthday party in the morning with cousins and a friend from church.  We delivered Christmas cookies to the neighbors, and had a ward party that night.  Karly acts older than she is.  She was ready to be four.  She is such a sweetheart and we love her to pieces!  Happy Birthday Karly!

So, I'm sorry my blog is so boring!  I have tried to upload pictures time and time again, and it won't let me.  It is very frustrating!  That is why I don't have any new posts.  It's not letting me add pictures.  I'll keep  trying.
Life is great, busy, but great.  This week is busy with volleyball, joy school, ward party I'm helping with, Karly's birthday and trying to wrap presents without my kids seeing!  That's tricky!  Oh, and of course, making yummy goodies! After all, it is the holidays!
